Twitter suspends ‘rage-baiting’ leftist Erica Marsh account amid claims it’s fake

Twitter has Erica Marsh, a viral leftist account Her profile claimed she was a “former President Biden field organizer” and Obama Foundation volunteer after she was accused of the account being fake.

Despite the fact that Erica Marsh’s account existed accumulated over 129,700 followers who Washington Post wrote earlier this week that it appeared Ms. Marsh didn’t exist. The publication reported that there were no phone or voting records of her, and both the Biden campaign and the Obama Foundation said they had no record of her employment.

Ms. Marsh’s report frequently sparked anger among Republicans. One of the account’s recent viral tweets, which referenced the Supreme Court’s June 29 affirmative decision, was no exception.

“Today’s Supreme Court decision is a direct attack on black people. No black person will be able to thrive in a meritocratic system, and that is precisely why positive action programs were needed. Today’s decision is a travesty!!!” Ms. Marsh tweeted.

“I strongly disagree with this racist allegation,” Florida Republican Rep. Matt Gaetz replied to Ms. Marsh’s tweet.

“I strongly suspect that person doesn’t exist,” said John Scott-Railton, a senior researcher at the University of Toronto’s Citizen Lab post. “It’s like she fell from the moon and arrived with this narrative that makes liberals look like idiots.”

The Erica Marsh account was created in September 2022, shortly after Twitter admitted it Remove 1 million fake accounts per day from the platform.
