Two arrested in connection with ‘attempted murder’ in Scots town

Police officers arrested two men in connection with an “attempted murder” in Paisley last night.
A 26 year old Man was brought there queen Elizabeth university Hospital in Glasgow with life-threatening condition injuries. His condition is described as critical.
The incident happened around 5:30 p.m. at an apartment in the Maxwellton Street area.
Two men, aged 24 and 25, were arrested in connection with the incident.

Detective Inspector Nicola Wake said: “A man has been seriously injured as a result of this incident and I am appealing to anyone who was in the area who may have seen or heard anything to get in touch.”


“Our investigation to determine the full circumstances is ongoing and officers are conducting investigations in the area.
“We believe this was an isolated case and there is no danger to the general public, but anyone with concerns should speak to officials.”
“We are particularly interested in hearing from everyone video surveillanceDashcam or doorbell camera footage from the area around this time.”
In another incident today, a man was taken to hospital after an alleged “acid” infection. attack in Lanarkshire.
The 51-year-old was in a property in Hamilton when he was allegedly pelted with a “caustic substance”.
emergency services raced to the crime scene in Allanshaw Gardens and cordoned off the road while an inquest took place.
