Two police officers stabbed in double attack in Manchester

TWO police officers have been stabbed in a double attack in Manchester.

The horror happened after cops were called to an incident on Wood Road, south Manchester, around 4pm on Wednesday.

Ambulance crews rushed to the scene alongside an Air Ambulance.

Specialist forensic officers also attended.

It’s understood one of the officers was taken to hospital for their injuries – but neither are thought to be life-threatening.

Greater Manchester Police are yet to comment on the incident.
