Typing secret code on Sky remote unlocks hidden feature to solve big problem

IF you love TV, your Sky box can quickly become clogged with tons of recordings.

But there is a secret remote trick that can easily help you free up tons of disk space.

The code is simply 001.

With this hack you can delete all your recordings at once.

So make sure there’s nothing you’re dying to keep.

TikTok star @wadesramsey revealed how it works.

First, press the Home button on your Sky Q remote.

Then scroll all the way down to “Settings”. not click it

Here you need to press the 001 keys followed by the middle selection key.

Finally go downstairs Reset to default then over to reset disk.

This will completely erase all your apps and recordings on Sky Q.

If you have Buy & Keep purchases, you can return them at sky.com/restore.

You should only do this if you’re keen on wiping your machine and starting over.

This is also a handy trick if you want to dispose of your Sky box – it’s a good idea to wipe it down before sending it back.

For some people, however, it could lead to even more headaches.

Other option

There are other ways to quickly erase content on your box.

Another Sky TV trick allows you to delete entire series at once.

If you want to delete episodes one by one, press the Sky button on top of your Sky remote to go straight to your recordings.

Scroll to and select the recording you want to remove.

Then scroll over and select “Delete”.

To delete all recordings from a TV show, scroll down to Sort by, then select AZ.

Scroll down to the TV show you want to remove and swipe right. Select “Delete All” and then “Confirm”.

Bonus Trick #1 – Hidden remote control button

Your Sky TV remote control has a hidden button that is clearly visible.

But it’s actually very useful.

We’re talking about the Sky logo on your remote control – yes, it’s a button!

Pressing it (and you definitely should) will bring up your recorded TV shows and movies.

This saves you having to sift through the various Sky menus to find out what you’ve saved so far.

Everything you have recorded on the Sky box will be displayed.

And you can press the button from anywhere in the Sky menu to instantly navigate to those shots.

Bonus Trick #2 – Movie Quotes

A clever Sky TV hack is perfect if you keep forgetting the names of films.

With it, you can quickly track down a movie simply by using a famous quote.

You simply use the voice control function of your Sky remote control.

Press the microphone button and then say the famous quote.

For example, saying, “You can’t handle the truth!” will produce some good men.

And My Precious brings you The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers.

There are dozens of quotes you can use to try out the feature.
