U.S. Retail Sales Grew 0.9% in April

US shoppers boosted retail spending in April for the fourth straight month, bearing higher prices with inflation near a four-decade high.

Retail sales — a measure of spending in stores, online and in restaurants — rose a seasonally adjusted 0.9 percent in April from the previous month, the Commerce Department said on Tuesday.
