U.S. Soccer to play two matches in L.A. after World Cup in Qatar

The men’s national soccer team will play their first two games after the World Cup in Southern California, on January 25 against Serbia at Banc of California Stadium and on January 28 against Colombia at Dignity Health Sports Park.

The USA will open the group game at the World Cup in Qatar on November 21 against Wales, followed by games with England and Iran.

The two games in January are the first of the 2026 World Cup cycle, which ends with the United States, Mexico and Canada sharing the staging of the first 48-team tournament. As host countries, all three teams automatically qualify for 2026.

The USMNT has met Serbia three times and never won, most recently in a friendly in San Diego in January 2017 in a goalless draw. Colombia at No. 17 is a more frequent opponent, with the USA posting an all-time 3-13-4 record against Los Cafeteros. Colombia did not qualify for Qatar and last met the USA in October 2018, where they won 4-2.

Advance ticket sales for the games begin November 14th, with public sales beginning November 21st. Groups of 20 or more can order on ussoccer.com from November 22nd, subject to availability. Kick-off times will be announced at a later date.
