Uber to launch flight booking feature on app in UK

Over will soon allow its customers to book airline tickets directly through its app.

Online travel agency Hopper’s new feature will be rolling out to UK users this summer. Customers can enter their destination and travel dates, select their desired flights, and then pay right in the Uber app. The company said that even on major airline flights, users can choose their seat assignments in the app.

UK users can already book cars, buses, trains and boat transport through the app.

Uber declined to say whether the program will be launched in the US

“Right now we are focused on piloting this ticketing feature in the UK and will be closely monitoring customer retention before committing to a timeline to expand the feature to other markets,” an Uber spokesman told ABC News.
