UFC megastar Conor McGregor catches up with former Victoria’s Secret model Adriana Lima at the Cannes Film Festival

Big man MMA Conor McGregor poses with legendary supermodel Adriana Lima at the Cannes Film Festival. The 33-year-old Irishman and Lima both smiled as they greeted each other and engaged in a brief conversation. After that, the duo proceeded to pose in front of the camera.

Lima happens to be a huge fan of MMA and attended McGregor’s most recent MMA fight. The 40-year-old model and actress was at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, at UFC 264 in July 2021 for McGregor’s trio fight against Dustin Poirier.

Lima is known for her rigorous training regimen and training herself as an athlete, which made her a legend during her time as a Victoria’s Secret model from 1999 to 2018. After retiring Victoria’s Secret, Lima still trains hard and continues to work as a model.

Furthermore, back in 2017, then-UFC women’s strawweight champion Joanna Jedrzejczyk praised Lima for her impressive work ethic. Jedrzejczyk notes that Lima has been engaged in challenging boxing practices for several years and praises the Brazilian fashion icon for her pugilistic skills.

Needless to say, Lima is no stranger to the MMA community and combat sports in general. McGregor and Lima can be seen chatting to each other and posing for the camera in the Instagram video below (*video courtesy of Instagram account @time_of_the_mcgregor_legacy):

Ali Abdelaziz on Conor McGregor is likely to get a title in his comeback fight

Former UFC featherweight and lightweight champion Conor McGregor suffered a severe leg injury mid-fight during his UFC 264 lightweight fight against Dustin Poirier. ‘Notorious’ has been on hiatus since then but vowed to return this year. He also claims a UFC lightweight championship shot on his return. McGregor’s next opponent and exact return date have yet to be officially announced.

Currently, there is consensus that Charles Oliveira will likely face Islam Makhachev for the next vacant UFC lightweight title. However, many believe that if McGregor makes a much-anticipated return this year, he can overtake Makhachev and compete for the vacant title with Oliveira.

Conor McGregor’s leg injury forced the doctor to stop working # UFC264 main event.Dustin Poirier won via TKO.

Speaking to The Schmo, Makhachev’s manager Ali Abdelaziz insisted he would be shocked if UFC president Dana White allowed ‘Notorious’ a title because of his recent losses. Labeling McGregor as an “Instagram fighter,” Abdelaziz said:

“When was the last time he fought and showed us he liked, deserved enough to fight for a UFC title? Listen to me. I understand the UFC business, but I know Dana White like my hand. Dana White would never give Conor McGregor a title fight after three losses. I know him. And if he did, I would be shocked. “
