Ukrainian Civilians Describe Desperate Efforts to Flee Bombed-Out Mariupol

ZAPORIZHZHIA, Ukraine — Civilians trapped for weeks in the ruins of Mariupol and other Russian-occupied towns are flooding into Ukrainian-controlled territory after sometimes long and traumatic journeys, while Russia continued its offensive in eastern Ukraine and targeted the strategic port city of Odessa.
