Urgent recall of bakery treats at Asda, Sainbury’s, Aldi and Tesco over metal contamination fears
SEVERAL supermarket giants have recalled hundreds of thousands popular baked goods Out of fear, they contain parts made of metal and plastic.
Shoppers are urged to check their cupboards, fridges and freezers for the goodies.

Batches of steak slices, sausage rolls, cheese and onion rolls, and meat pies may have been contaminated during production and are dangerous for consumption.
The Food Standards Agency (FSA), which issued the warnings this week, has urged Brits to check the best-before dates on the packaging of Aldi and Sainsbury’s pastries Asda and Tesco.
All of the baked goods are believed to be from Nottingham-based Compleat Food Group.
Anyone who bought these items can return them to the store for a full refund – with or without a receipt.
Tesco was the first company to issue a recall notice to its customers earlier this week.
In some cases, a foreign object can easily pass through the body.
However, if something gets stuck in your throat, it can cause a dangerous blockage or tear.

The FSA is recalling foods deemed unsafe for human consumption.
The warning said: “If you have purchased any of the above products, do not eat them. Instead, return it to the store you bought it from for a full refund.”
Compleat Food Group emphasized that the recall does not affect other products from its affiliated brands.
A spokesman said: “The safety and quality of our products is of the utmost importance to us and we take all issues surrounding the production of our food extremely seriously.”
“An error was detected by our in-line metal detectors and the affected lines were immediately shut down while an internal investigation took place.
“After the fault has been rectified, operations are now continuing as usual.
“Following the manufacturing defect, we have informed relevant customers of a possible plastic and metal contamination of a limited number of the retailer’s own brand products.
“As a precautionary measure, we have voluntarily recalled the affected products.”
