Usher Reacts To Diddy Saying R&B Is DEAD: It Blasphemous!!
Usher responded to Diddy’s Instagram Live claim that R&B is dead.
“When I hear people, even if Puff says you know R&B is dead, he sounds crazy to me. It sounds, it sounds, it sounds crazy. You know, especially because he knew he was a pioneer in understanding and a beneficiary of it,” he said on Bevelations.
He continued, “You know, the source of R&B created the breath of life that was breathed into hip hop. It wouldn’t be. There wouldn’t be hip hop if there wasn’t R&B, so to hear me say, to hear people say anything, especially hip hop cats, say anything about R&B is blasphemous.”
On Instagram Live, Diddy said:
“R&B is dead right now,” he exclaimed. “The R&B I made my babies into? R&B has to be judged on one thing – but it’s the feel, pooch. No no no. it’s a feeling You have to be able to sing for R&B and then you have to tell the truth. R&B is not a rush. This shit is about feeling your vulnerability.”
“You gotta muthaf-ckin a n-gga d-ck hard or wet a woman’s vagina. you must cry You have to be able to get your girl back. I don’t want to hear all that nonsense,” Diddy said. “It’s our fault that we accept less when someone picks up the mic. I feel like there’s been a death to R&B singing and I’m a part of bringing this shit back! I don’t feel any emotions.”
