Vanessa Lachey Teases ‘NCIS Hawaii’ Finale, Turns for Jane/Joe, Kacy

This Monday night at 10/9c, as CBS’ NCIS: Hawai’i ending the freshman’s two-part finale, “It Began downSeries host Vanessa Lachey promises.

In Season 1 of the season finale, a Marine corporal is seemingly randomly killed after he tries to interfere in a couple’s public argument. But when Agent Jane Tennant (played by Lachey) and her team will learn from the visiting Captain Milius (Enver Gjokaj), the ill-fated corporal has in fact been targeted after he received information about a top secret prisoner exchange between Eastern Europe and the US government – a swap who want to derail.

Milius, with Tennant as his escort, took care to facilitate the exchange of Russian spy Anton Breskov for American journalist Thomas Kelly. But shortly after the American team boarded the Coast Guard plane that Jane had been guarding, Kelly began to foam and foam at the mouth, clearly poisoned.

In this week’s epilogue, Milius continues to work with Tennant and her team in the aftermath of the compromised exchange. Meanwhile, on a more personal side, Whistler (Tori Anderson) takes the advice of Ernie (Jason Antoon) and takes a major action in hopes of winning back Lucy (Yasmine Al-Bustami).

Speaking to TVLine last week at CBS/Paramount’s Upfront gala, Lachey promised an explosive Season 2 that would captivate “a lot of fans” and, ultimately, return with a singular word.

“Here’s what I’ll say: It begins down. We literally ended up with a bang,” Lachey said. “We have some questions that people want answers to, but in the end, I have one word that has driven us all season – ohana, which means ‘family’. We are there for each other, no matter what.”

“I promise you won’t be disappointed,” Lachey added, before teasing, “The ending makes a great number of of very happy fans” – which may or may not be related to this Inside Line/”Kacy” scoop from a couple of weeks ago.

And as for Jane’s own love life? Will she and Joe be able to pinpoint exactly who and what they are to each other, amid thousands of miles of denial that cool the undeniable heat between sometimes lovers?

“That is discuss,” said Lachey with a laugh. “A lot of relationships are discussed. And not solvedbut… solved. ”
