Vanilla Ice Remembers Friend Coolio After Early Passing, “Still In Shock”

Last week, Coolio played his final show in Texas alongside Vanilla Ice, who claims he’s still mourning the loss of his late friend. After learning of Coolio’s death Wednesday night, Vanilla Ice said he couldn’t sleep and woke up “still in shock and freaked out” on Thursday.

Longtime collaborators Coolio and Ice have been on the I Love The 90s Tour for the past six years, with a stop in Cypress, Texas last week serving as Coolio’s final performance.

Coolio reportedly took to the stage with Vanilla Ice on Friday night to freestyle during his performance. After that, they hung out in Ice’s dressing room, where Coolio seemed to be in excellent shape, smiling and joking around. The last words Coolio said to Vanilla Ice: “See you tomorrow, homie.

Coolio died Wednesday at a friend’s house in downtown Los Angeles. According to police sources, first responders attempted to resuscitate the rapper with CPR for 45 minutes. Vanilla Ice claims he can’t stop thinking that last week Coolio’s performance was his last. He also pays tribute to Coolio as a legend whose music will carry on his legacy.

Ice added: “My heart goes out to the whole family. I’m really devastated. He was a great friend.When Coolio died he was in Los Angeles with a passport issue because he had upcoming gigs in Germany.

We wish Coolio’s family and friends the best and hope they are doing well during these difficult times.
