Viral TikTok shows rescue from sinking Pirates of the Caribbean boat

According to a viral TikTok video detailing the debacle, a group of Disneyland visitors were recently stranded in a sinking Pirates of the Caribbean boat for more than an hour before firefighters from the park came to the rescue.

The video showed Disneyland firefighters helping riders exit the waterlogged boat and have them walk back onto dry ground over a makeshift plank — a facility not typically part of the attraction.

Footage from the video posted on Saturday – which has already amassed nearly 1.5million views on TikTok – says the drivers waited for almost an hour as they sat in the boat with water.

The TikTok creator called the incident a “hot mess” online, but declined to comment further on the experience when reached by The Times. In comments to the video, the creator said the group on the broken boat received a $30 coupon for dry socks and some access to Lightning Lanes as compensation.

Disneyland did not respond to requests for comment Tuesday afternoon.
