There are ten islands in Cape Verde. However, Sal and Boa Vista are the ones that attract the most tourists and boast some incredible beaches.

Sal has miles and miles of sandy beaches, great nightlife and cheap restaurants.

While Santiago is the most populated island, and it’s where the capital Praia is located.

However, there are many inhabited islands too.

For instance, Santa Luzia is uninhabited but accessible via boat ride from Sao Vincente.

Sao Vicente is a famous town in Mindelo and is known as the cultural centre of the islands.
