Warriors ‘aggressively investigating’ leak of practice scuffle video

The Golden State Warriors are taking “every legal course of action” to find out how a video of Draymond Green punching Jordan Poole during a scuffle on Wednesday was released, sources told ESPN.

Green apologized to the team and to Poole Thursday before Warriors coach Steve Kerr, general manager Bob Myers and teammate Stephen Curry addressed the media about the incident.

TMZ released video of the incident Friday morning, which occurred during a drill closed to the media.

In the video, Green approaches Poole, who responds by shoving the Warriors veteran. Green then punches Poole and knocks him out before several people intervene at the practice to break it up. There was no video showing what led to the incident.

Sources told ESPN that the Warriors “aggressively investigated” both the incident and the video’s release.

The Warriors are still in the process of disciplining Green, but Myers said ahead of the video’s release that he doesn’t expect Green to miss a game because of punishment.

“These things happen. Nobody likes it, we don’t condone it, but it happens,” Myers said Thursday. “Draymond has apologized to the team. Jordan was in the room.

ESPN’s Kendra Andrews contributed to this report.
