Washington holds off Fresno State, 62-57 at Wooden Legacy

ANAHEIM, Calif. (AP) — Keion Brooks scored 16 points and Washington edged Fresno State to a 62-57 win in Game 1 of the Wooden Legacy Tournament Wednesday night.
Washington scored their final field goal through Franck Kepnang’s dunk with 2:35 in the game to make it 59-52. Fresno State didn’t score after the four-minute mark until Leo Colimerio converted a three-point play with 37 seconds left to take the Bulldogs 59-55 to four. PJ Fuller hit two free throws for the Huskies and Jamal Bey added the first of two from the line to increase the lead to 62-55 with 15 seconds left.
Washington advances to Thursday’s championship game.
The Huskies (4-1) converted 22 of 58 from the field (37.9%).
Isaih Moore led Fresno State (1-3) with a double-double, scoring 15 points and catching 13 rebounds.
