Watch Eminem Disrupt Pete Davidson’s Lorne Michaels ‘SNL’ Tribute

Pete Davidson’s Weekend Update Submission Wasn’t Departure Saturday night live star’s only goodbye to the series: In a Cut for Time sketch, Davidson unleashed a final Eminem parody dedicated to showrunner Lorne Michaels, making Slim Shady himself feel amused .

While Davidson thanked Michaels during his Weekend Update appearance, “Forgot About Lorne” — an excerpt on Eminem’s “Forgot About Dre” — honors Michaels’ legacy as a comic genius with an eye for flawless talent: In the video, Davidson checks out the names of many Not Ready for Primetime players who have become stars thanks to Michaels’ tutoring, as well as his newly departing co-stars Kate McKinnon , Aidy Bryant and Kyle Mooney.

However, the profound falsehood came to an abrupt end when Eminem appeared in the studio to berate Davidson about his Slim Shady-themed parodies of SNL term.

“Please stop. It’s really bad,” Eminem told Davidson.

“Honestly, we’re only doing these things because we love you so much, Marshall,” Davidson told the rapper. “They’re like a tribute, you know?”

Most recently, Davidson turned Eminem’s “Stan” into a Santa obsession with the song “Stu,” a short video that also features Marshall Mathers in a cameo. Watch Eminem Disrupt Pete Davidson’s Lorne Michaels ‘SNL’ Tribute
