In addition to a new pitch, the Bernabeu now has a fully retractable roof and a new terrace, which has helped upgrade the catering area.

The outside of the stadium has been redesigned while the pitch has undergone major changes as well.

The Bernabeu’s lush green is now sinkable and features technology that allows the pitch to be divided into six sections.

Each section is gradually moved down one level and replaced with a concrete surface, making it suitable for hosting concerts or other sporting events.

Tottenham Hotspur Stadium features similar technology, as do modern stadiums in Japan and the United States, such as the University of Phoenix Stadium.

Fans were impressed with the technology and praised the Bernabeu’s new look.

One said: “The new Bernabeu looks smart.”

Another added: “It’s such a beauty to behold.”
