Watch Latto make Billboard Music Awards debut with ‘Big Energy’ performance

Lotto made his debut at the Billboard Music Awards tonight (May 15), bringing the single ‘Big Energy’ to the stage.

The annual awards ceremony is taking place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas and is hosted by Diddy.

Latto, who was nominated for Top Rap Female Artist, took over the stage of the venue for her performance, along with dancers dressed in silver. “I need you guys to stand on your feet right now,” she told the crowd at one point.

She started and ended the performance while standing in the center of a silver ring decorated with stars. Watch the video below now.

The majority of the main awards at the Billboard Music Awards 2022 were presented in a live stream on TikTok, with only eight remaining to be presented during tonight’s ceremony. Going into the show, Olivia Rodrigo and Kanye West led the winners with six awards each.

The Weeknd has the most nominations at the 2022 BBMAs with 17 nominations, with Doja Cat trailing behind at 14th. She took home the first award of the main ceremony, taking home the trophy for Top R&B Artist .

Diddy opened the awards ceremony with help from Bryson Tiller, Jack Harlow and Teyana Taylor, before Silk Sonic brought a cover of Con Funk Shun’s ‘Love Train’ to Vegas.

Other performances tonight will come from the likes of Machine Gun Kelly, Florence + The Machine, Ed Sheeran, Burna Boy and many more. Morgan Wallen will return to the ceremony after being banned from the ceremony last year after footage of him saying a racial slur appeared online.

Meanwhile, Travis Scott will be making his first public appearance since the crowd-crushing tragedy that occurred during his title rollout at last year’s Astroworld Festival.
