Tsitsipas started the match well, winning the first set via tiebreak after both players held at love.

But his success didn’t stop his partner Badosa from glancing sideways at his father Apostolos as they sat in the family box.

Apostolos seemed to say something as he turned and faced Badosa, causing the Spaniard to stare back.

She glanced back at the pitch before glancing sideways at Apostolos once more, prompting fan speculation that there was hostilities between the two.

One fan wrote, “Oh there’s a war between them.”

Another added: “Keeping up with the Tsitsipas 👀”

A third said: “Guess she doesn’t like him much.”

And another commented: “This will end in tears.”

Like Tsitsipas, Badosa won her Wimbledon first-round tie against Alison Riske-Amritraj, beating her opponent 6-3, 6-3.

She had little reason to celebrate after the first set, however, as Murray equalized with a tiebreak in the second set before winning the third set 6-4.
