Emma Stone takes center stage Poor thingsthe latest release from director Yorgos Lanthimos.

Hailed by critics as a potentially Oscar-worthy performance, Stone stars as Bella Baxter, the experimental subject of a troubled Victorian anatomist, in the bizarre comedy, which received an eight-minute standing ovation at the Venice Film Festival.

Also starring Willem Dafoe, Ramy Youssef and Mark Ruffalo is the Frankenstein-inspired story, which also earned a 100 percent rating on the Rotten Tomatoes review site.

Poor things hits theaters on January 12, 2024.
