Another trip to the Reverse – almost three years later. On Monday, Netflix released the final, horror-filled trailer for episode one of Strange things’ season four, airs on Fridays.

“Don’t try to be a hero. There’s no shame in running,” said one person who voiced clips of the show’s main clan — Mike (Finn Wolfhard), Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown), Dustin (Gaten Matarazzo) and Lucas (Caleb McLaughlin) — participating Join a group chat.

“Never tell me the odds,” Dustin said before rolling some Dungeon and Dragons dice.

The new season will begin a few months after the Battle of Starcourt. The group of close friends is first separated and is seen between Hawkins and Lenora Hills, as well as (eventually) getting back together. The installment also introduces a new demonic character: Vecna, who is mentioned in the trailer as one of the gangs ready to fight.

The trailer then incorporates clips of friends cycling in the middle of the night, an ice rink, an intense gunfight and a clip of a woman levitating over a graveyard.

“This Friday, the world turns upside down,” the show’s diary reads.

Netflix released an eight-minute teaser of the previous season, showing a bloodbath at the Hawkins National Laboratory – with young Eleven at the center of the chaos.

The first episode of the final season – the first seven episodes – premieres on May 27, while the second episode of the season – the last two episodes – premieres on July 1.

Netflix has announced that the final installment of the series created by the Duffer Brothers will be “replaced”, with a run time of five hours longer than any previous installment. Most episodes will be close to 75 minutes long, and episode 7 will be nearing the 98 minute mark. Additionally, Netflix’s Tudum fan site confirmed Friday that the season-ending run will last two and a half hours.
