Wawa shooting on Frankford Avenue injures man

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) — A 34-year-old man was shot at a Wawa in the Torresdale neighborhood of Philadelphia.

It happened around 4:23 a.m. Friday at a convenience store on the 9100 block of Frankford Avenue near Academy Road.

There were several bullet casings in front of the door.

A bullet hole was visible in the broken glass door.

According to police, the victim suffered an abrasion on the abdomen and is in stable condition.

They review the store surveillance video for a description of the shooter.
