We bought a beat up, dated, old caravan – thanks to help from nana it looks so different, people are amazed

A WOMAN who bought a run down old caravan completely transformed it and people can’t believe how good it looks now.
Thanks to her grandmother’s help, the caravan was put together much quicker than she thought, and at a much cheaper price too.
The caravan originally cost £500 on Facebook Marketplace, but it was always Tyla’s plan to restore it.
She got to work straight away, painting the interior cabinets a much smarter black with paint from Wilko, and the new handles really gave the whole thing a more modern look.
The DIY enthusiast also used sticky tiles and contact paper to create the new work surfaces, which looked much more expensive.
The bathroom looked completely bland when she first bought the trailer – the walls had a mottled brown pattern and the tiles were stained.
Thankfully, she didn’t have to rip the whole thing out, instead using self-adhesive wallpaper and tiles to achieve the marble look she wanted.
A fresh coat of white spray paint gave the yellow toilet the bright look she wanted.
Tyla’s grandma helped make new seat covers and curtains as the old ones looked so shabby.
She stuck to a silver and gray theme throughout the caravan, opting for velvet seat covers and matching gray curtains, complete with Pink bows and throw pillows.
Initially, Tyla thought she could get away with leaving the original ceiling, doors, and windows alone, but as the rest of the renovations were completed, the old bits stuck out like a saw thumb.
So she used more white paint to cover the faded yellow colors and added new linoleum flooring to match the gray theme.
However, it is the finishing touches that really bring the caravan together, such as the gray carpet matching pink accessories.
Tyla explained that she was in a hurry to finish the DIY project before her birthday as he already had a trip planned, so it was completed in just over two weeks.
After sharing the epic transformation on TikTok, people were amazed at how good it turned out.
“Wow, you did well! Looks fantastic,” said one.
A second agreed: “Best caravan makeover I’ve seen, well done.”
“How great, you must be really happy with yourself. It’s a lovely little trailer,” commented another.
