We bought a house in 2020 but just made an incredible discovery in the kitchen – the old owner was all about smart hacks

To one surprised homeowner, it seemed that one man’s kitchen trick was another man — or woman’s — most unexpected treasure.
Instead of being haunted, this house was full of hackers.
“Last night my husband made a shocking discovery in our kitchen,” said Montana (@nursemontana) told her followers.
“We bought this house in 2020 from the gentleman who built it I think in 2011 – and I should have known because he came up with a lot of really creative storage ideas,” she began her story .
Wearing a purple sweatshirt, she explained that the previous owner had installed some clever tricks – but one thing remained unaware to new buyers at the time.
“After the reach here, I’d be vacuuming or whatever a lot and I’d like to bump this thing and come, damn, that faceplate is a little loose,” she said while pointing to the area in question.

She even rubbed it with her foot to show the slight movement.
“And the same goes for this one,” she exclaimed as she walked over to demonstrate the same ease on the other side of the range.
The TikToker continued to recall the moment she first found the mysterious hack: “I think that’s weird, I don’t want to break anything.”
The mystery was soon to be solved when the inquisitive TikToker’s husband “pulled out the stove and cleaned next to it.”
“And what does he find? A space rack,” she said in disbelief as she pulled out the previously seamlessly joined four-row rack.
The spice rack seemed to be the surprise that never failed: “Not one, but two spice racks,” she said, while showing a similar feature on the other side.
Over 2,000 followers were also amazed at the double surprise – and the possibly better half of the TikToker.
“Wait a minute… back it up… your husband is taking out the stove to clean!? He’s a Guardian!” said an impressed viewer.
“He’s literally the best,” agreed the content creator.
However, others were skeptical that the storage involved spices.
“The worst place to store spices. The heat from the oven quickly degrades the spices and some go rancid,” one wrote in a comment typical of several others.
“I think it’s for cutting boards, roasting pans and baking sheets. I saw it on another house item,” wrote another.

Another suggested it was actually a child safety device, writing: “It’s actually a wall to keep the toddlers out while you use the area.”
“Ok wow best comment of the day,” wrote Montana. “He’s obsessed with range. I will use them as a baby gate.”
