We built a real-life Captain Hook ship in our backyard as a tiny home – it makes us a small fortune each night too

Have YOU ever dreamed of going to Neverland to avoid growing up like Peter Pan?
A couple have revealed how they created a replica Captain Hook ship in their garden for a small houses – and now they rent out and make a fortune.
Tyson Leavitt and his wife Audrey, from Alberta, Canadaunleashed their creativity and created a pirate ship with two main living spaces at each end.
If that’s not epic enough, it even comes with a hot tub.
The 509 sqft ship has 6 sleepers, with 1 queen bed and 2 double beds plus 1 bathroom.
Audrey uploaded a tour of the ship for her @charmed.fam TikTok account and said: “Welcome to Hook’s pirate ship.
“There is a bedroom at the rear of the ship, with a queen bed and king-sized bunk beds.
“We added some Captain Hook ship rules and cages for Tinkerbell.
“An outside building has a kitchenette with a fridge, sink and microwave as well as a bathroom.”
Audrey shows how the deck has a hot tub and grill, and the other end features a dining room with board games.
You can currently charter the ship for $419CAD (£244 a night).
The website listing reads: “Peter Pan and the Lost Boys wouldn’t have had much of a story without their greatest enemy, Captain Hook, alive. Next door.
“Hook’s pirate ship has washed ashore and is open to guests while he’s out at sea!
“One of the most unique buildings at Charmed Resorts, this building is sure to provide the perfect storybook stay.”
And it’s not the only fairy house the couple have built, and they also have their own resort of quirky buildings.
Visitors can check into a house of Rapunzel, Gingerbread Cottage, Wendy’s Townhouse, Lost Boys’ Treehouse and Rumpelstiltskin’s Tower, among others.
On their website, Tyson explains how they started the business: “In 2015, my wife and I started Charming Theatera custom playhouse company for whimsical families.
“While our playhouses are getting bigger and more complex, we aim to provide a way to invite more fairy tale fans to enjoy our buildings.
“This desire has led to Charming Resort, a campsite full of storybook cottages, opening in Crowsnest Pass in spring 2021 with many predictions.
“While our list of cottages continues to grow, heart are all complete, able to share our love of fairy tales, fanciful architecture, and reunions of family and friends.
“We hope to provide a unique storytelling experience for all of our guests.”
Tyson and his wife Audrey started with three bosses, and he now has a whole team of employees helping to create their custom playhouses – with his three children Miles, Emmett and Lydia as testers important experience.
Tyson said Buzzfeed Canada Feed: “We have houses worth $7,000 (£4,969) and we have houses over $100,000 (£71,000). It does not depend on us. The ideas come from our customers.”

No idea is too fanciful, and company policy is: “We believe every child deserves a place to play and let their imagination run wild.
“From slaying dragons to hosting lavish tea parties, every child needs a space to play.”
