Scarlett Eskelund (@scarletandseth) filmed herself inside the van she shares with her husband, Seth,

In the video on TikTok, she demonstrated how she uses the space in her tiny home to take a shower and wash off the day.

“We’ve lived in three different vans, but this is our first time having a fixed shower, so we’re really excited to show you how it works.

“This is a shower layout we’ve been dreaming of for a while and was actually inspired by the previous van we lived in, where we had a pop-up bench shower in this exact location,” she said.

She filmed the doors of the shower, with one leading directly to the driver’s cabin and the other leading to the rest of the van.

“The shower is surprisingly large and neither one of us feels cramped using it,” she revealed.

The couple installed lighting and even decorated the shower to give it a luxurious look.

“One of the best things about this shower is the opening that looks like a skylight but is actually a boat hatch that provides natural light and ventilation.

“We also just discovered this, but we can open it up while it’s raining and have a literal rain shower,” she said.

Scarlett shared that living in a van is not simply a trend, it’s a way to give back to the environment.

“Van life is all about conserving resources, so we installed a handheld hose instead of a shower forehead because it’s much easier to control how much water we’re using.

“We have a 12-volt hot water heater and there are these storage compartments and hooks for our towel,” she said.

She added that converting the van into a tiny home brought much-needed luxury to their lifestyle.

“Such a luxury after four years of van life,” she added.
