We test three ways to get rid of any fake tan streaks this summer for all budgets

For the first time, I got it right about fake tan. It took a lot of trial and error.
Here are three of my favorite ways to get rid of any streaks this summer.
Budget
St Tropez Tan Hair Removal Gloves, (£6, Cultbeauty.co.uk): I have tried a lot of exfoliating gloves and I can tell you they are not the same.
For effective scrubbing, avoid plasticky gloves. They may be cheaper, but you won’t see results.
The more expensive ones are better value because you can wash and reuse.
The St Tropez Gloves are my favorite. You can see dead skin and residual tan on it.
It’s less messy than a granular scrub, and it’s easier to control where you exfoliate.
But it can leave skin rough with too much pressure, so for sensitive skin, choose a grit-free one.
midrange
Tan-Luxe Glyco Water, (£24, tan-luxe.com): If you want something effortless, this is for you.
You spray and rub it into your skin. (I find it easier to spray on my hands and massage from there).
Let it sit for five minutes then jump into the shower and any lingering tan should be gone.
It has a rather interesting chemical-like smell that reminds me of hair removal cream, but once you get over that smell, it will revolutionize your sunbathing routine.
And it’s perfect if you exfoliate just to reapply it right away because it will make the process go much faster.
If you have rough or dry patches, you’ll also need to wear gloves, as it removes the color but doesn’t strip the skin.
Luxurious
Kate Somerville Exfolikate Resurfacing Body Scrub, (£48, lookfantastic.com): Spending close to £50 on an exfoliator sounds ridiculous, but if it’s in your price range, I highly recommend you give it a try.
Since it came out last year, I’ve been married to it.
The green scrub will turn white as you rub it onto your skin so you can see where you’ve exfoliated.
Then you leave it on for three minutes before rinsing.
Packed with chemical, physical and enzymatic exfoliants, it leaves skin baby soft and at the same time removes any tan.
Pick of the week
EVERYONE of Selena Gomez’s Rare Beauty products sold out in one day – and three more hit shelves on Thursday.
My favorite is the All Of The Above Weightless Eyeshadow Stick, £21, which has a pointed tip so you can use it as a primer.
Also on sale are the Perfect Strokes Longwear Gel Eyeliner and the Brow Harmony Precision Pencil, both priced at £19. See spacenk.com.
