We won entire £1m Postcode Lottery prize thanks to planning quirk

TWO cousins pocketed the entire £1 million Postcode Lottery prize for themselves thanks to a quirky scheme.
Margaret Livens and Joyce Ablitt, both 72 years old, live side by side in the small village of Little Neston in Cheshire.
The duo built both houses with their husbands and grandfathers 47 years ago.
And as the only houses on the street, the local council has given them their own postcode.
Retired secretary Margaret and husband Harry, 73, each won £333,333 with their tickets.
Widow Joyce also won the same prize with her Lotto entry.
The team received their winnings on Monday at the Edinburgh Postcode Lottery gala.
Harry said: “I couldn’t repeat my thoughts when I first saw the check.
“We’ve been stewing all weekend.”
Margaret said: “We built the house ourselves. It was a real family business.
“They’re the only people on the street, so we need our own postcode. This is unbelievable.”
Joyce added how “her legs went down” when she was presented with the check and realized how much she had won.
Despite the glorious victory, Margaret and Harry say they will give it up for their dog Chloe – who went missing a month ago.
The postcode lottery is a monthly subscription that you win based on where you live.
Britons pay monthly to enter the draw, and if more than one person in your catchment area wins, you have to split the prize.
It costs £10 a month and could see you win prizes of £1,000 to £3 million.
