Stephanie Kaye (@stephaniekaye_) filmed herself showing the discovery in a Video on TikTok.

“We just bought a house. It was built in the 1950s. We are carrying out a major renovation. I just started in the living room.”

“I still can’t believe what we found behind the gas pipe. Look at the mousetrap.

“Okay, what’s back there? How does it look? How do you look? Where did you get that from?” she said.

Her partner found several items, including an envelope, under the fireplace.

Opening the envelope revealed a thick wad of $100 bills.

“That right there, is that money?” she asked.

“That’s money,” her partner replied. “And it’s a lot of money.”

The video attracted many viewers who shared their thoughts in the comments section.

“Old house, but newer hundred coins? These bills didn’t even exist in the 80s,” wrote one.

“Those came out about ten years ago,” Stephanie replied. “The previous owner passed away two years ago. I didn’t say it was empty for decades.”

“Glad to hear you contacted the previous owner. Morality means a lot,” another added.

“You were so wonderful to us,” Stephanie wrote back.

“Congratulations,” chimed in a third. “How much?”

“Thank you. $2,300,” Stephanie replied.
