PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) — A gun family member returned fire after a victim was shot dead outside his West Philadelphia home, police said.

It happened around 11:15 p.m. Monday at the 3000 block of North Robinson Street.

Police say a 26-year-old man was sitting on his porch when two gunmen emerged from an alley.

The perpetrators repeatedly opened fire on the victim.

According to the police, 37 spent bullet casings were found at the scene.

A relative armed with a gun stormed out of the house and shot the suspects, according to police. The two gunmen fled the scene.

The 26-year-old was taken to hospital in stable condition.

No arrests were made.
