West Philadelphia school bus crash injures multiple people on 52nd and Spruce streets

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) — Several people, including students, were injured in a collision between a school bus and another vehicle in West Philadelphia.

It happened around 6:10 a.m. Tuesday on South 52nd Street and Spruce Street.

The bus and an SUV collided in front of Big George’s Stop-N-Dine.

Surveillance video obtained by Action News shows the collision.

Officials said two people who were in the SUV were taken to hospital with serious injuries.

There were five people on the bus at the time of the accident – three students from Dobbins High School, a bus attendant and the driver.

Action News is told the three students were taken to Philadelphia Children’s Hospital with what appeared to be minor injuries.

The bus driver and attendant stayed on site.

The crash is being investigated.
