Investigators say the victim, identified only as a man in his 30s, appeared to be attempting to enter parked vehicles.
PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) — Police say a driver struck and seriously injured a man who was reportedly trying to get into cars in West Philadelphia on Saturday morning.
It happened around 9:30 a.m. at the intersection of 50th and Haverford Avenues.
Investigators say the person who was run over, identified only as a man in his 30s, appeared to be attempting to enter parked vehicles.
Police say when this man grabbed a door handle of an SUV, the driver drove away.
The man was then swept away by the rear wheel of the vehicle and rolled over.
He is hospitalized in critical condition with a head injury.
Anyone with information about the driver is asked to call the Philadelphia Police Department.
