What do falling interest rates, price declines mean?

After more than 7% last autumn, mortgage rates have fallen in recent months.

While still far higher than at this point last year, today’s rates are now in the low 6% range. Combine this with recent house price declines and houses are a little cheaper than they were a few months ago.

The change presents potential buyers with a choice: enter the market now or hold off in the hope that interest rates — and house prices — will continue to fall.
