What happened to each character – and one last crazy relationship turnaround

After seven wild and unpredictable seasons of madness, Riverdale says goodbye – see how things ended for Archie, Betty, Veronica, Jughead and the rest of the Archie Comics gang.
Who knows what else is true when it comes to the fever dream that was Riverdale in the last seven seasons, but still, the series bid farewell on Wednesday with one last crazy relationship turn that no one was expecting.
This included an epic 67 year time warp where Betty (Lili Reinhart) at the age of 86 and discovered that with the death of Jughead (Cole Sprouse), she is the last of the gang still alive. This spurs a return to Riverdale.

This isn’t sci-fi, though, as we’re still stuck in the 1950s continuity that the gang transitioned into with last season’s finale. It’s a fitting nod to the origins of the original Archie Comics. OK, we lied. It’s kind of sci-fi, but that was more in the previous episode.
It’s all very confusing and casual fans just watching the finale needn’t worry about it. But last week Angel Tabitha (Erinn Westbrook) broke down Riverdale We’ve traced the multiverse all these years into the 1950’s timeline, giving the gang their full memories… so it’s kind of a closure to their entire existence.
Like I said, it’s kind of weird and confusing. It goes without saying Riverdale at this point, but ultimately this is the journey of the teenagers going through high school in the 1950’s to their deaths before the present.
Betty reconnects with the angelic Jughead during her journey and is able to remember what has happened to all of her friends since they all graduated and transitioned into adulthood. One of those things was certainly groundbreaking.
Hell, a quad relationship would be groundbreaking and shocking today, let alone in the ’50s or ’60s. And yet Betty remembered vividly that she had a four-way romance with Jughead, Archie (KJ Apa) and Veronica (Camila Mendes) before life separated them.
Regaining her full memories of her whole life naturally helped, leading to a rather unorthodox way of life in the 1950s. That’s definitely a way of saying the four leads have stayed close together!
So what happened to everyone in the end?
