What HBO shows are coming to Netflix?

Surprisingly, Warner Bros. Discovery and Netflix struck a licensing deal that would see the streaming giant get some former HBO shows. One of the HBO original series that is part of the deal has already made its way to Netflix, with several more scheduled to hit the streamer at a later date.

We first learned about this deal in June 2023 when the online news site meetingHe was the first to report it. At the time, Warner Bros. Discovery was in talks about licensing several HBO shows to Netflix, but nothing was set in stone just yet. It was a financial decision by WBD, the agreement is not exclusive. This meant that the HBO shows loaned to Netflix were still available on Max, formerly HBO Max.

Now, in July 2023, it has been reported that the deal is signed and official. On July 3, Netflix received its first in-contract HBO original series. Unsure. If you’re wondering what other HBO shows are likely to be coming to Netflix in the future, be sure to read on because we’ve shared them below.

What HBO shows are coming to Netflix?

All five seasons of the popular comedy-drama series Unsure arrived on Netflix on July 3, 2023 What’s on Netflix?, the streamer will only broadcast this show for three years because of the length of the license agreement. However, keep in mind that neither Netflix nor Warner Bros. Discovery have announced how long the comedy-drama will be available on the streaming platform. So, Unsure Seasons 1-5 could stay on Netflix for more than three years. We’ll let you know when the show leaves the streamer.

Here are the titles of the other HBO shows confirmed to be coming to Netflix soon:

  • gang of brothers (2001)
  • The Pacific (2010)
  • Six feet under (2001-2005)
  • baller (2015-2019)

Unfortunately, Netflix has yet to announce when these licensed shows will be coming to the streaming platform. But of course we will announce the release dates as soon as they are announced.

The Emmy Award-winning fantasy series True Blood will also be available to stream internationally on Netflix. Sorry Netflix US subscribers!

Due to the new deal, additional HBO shows not listed may appear on Netflix US in the future. If this is the case, you can definitely count on us to share the names of everyone who has been announced.
