What is The Devil to Pay about?

The story follows a struggling mother and farmer named Lemon Cassidy who must find a way to repay her missing husband’s debt to a powerful local family before it hurts her son.

It all starts when Lemon’s husband mysteriously disappears. Lemon’s husband owed the oldest family on the mountain, and now that he’s gone, Lemon is forced to shoulder the debt. When the heartless matriarch of the powerful family finds out that Lemon’s husband is missing, she calls Lemon to her house to speak with her. The woman tells Lemon that if she doesn’t return what is hers, she will kill her son and her too. Lemon must then fight to save her son before it’s too late.

The harder they fall‘s Danielle Deadwyler stars as Lemon Cassidy. Catherine Dyer also plays the cold-hearted matriarch. Her character’s name is Tommy Runion. The rest of the cast includes Luce Rains, Adam Boyer, Jayson Warner Smith, Brad Carter, Charles Black, Tim Habeger, Parisa Johnston and Shelby Hofer.
