The “mayonnaise incident” goes viral on TikTok

After checking out the latest Kelseyinit and Not an Undercover Cop TikToks, people flooded the comments sections, claiming the latter left the social media channel because of the “mayonnaise incident.”

When confused users asked each other which incident they were referring to, many said they were afraid of getting banned on TikTok for talking about it.

This led some to ask if TikTok users were talking about the 2022 shooting incident that occurred on the Atlanta subway over some issues with a customer’s sandwich that had too much mayonnaise in it.

However, we can confirm that the viral video had nothing to do with the actual tragic incident.

If you haven’t seen Not an Undercover Cop’s video with over 2.8 million views, we’ve broken it down for you below.

No undercover cop orchestrated the drama

Not an Undercover Cop’s video begins with him removing his microphone and other accessories before walking away from the camera, making it appear as if he is leaving his channel. The voiceover says, “This is how it ends.”

The rest of the video features several other clips from his famous TikToks, only to end up revealing that the user was spreading a random rumor while asking his followers to get involved.

The message displayed towards the end of the video reads: “Thanks to the 2 million people who follow me. I reckon the vast majority of people won’t watch to the end, let alone read. I’m not really going. lol.”

“Please spread a rumor in the comments I left about the ‘mayonnaise thing’ that happened between @thefronk and me. Be vague and don’t explain further. If people ask, just say it’s complicated or that using certain words to explain it might block you.”

Users are confused by the video

The viral video has been viewed more than 100,000 times, but most users fail to understand the context.

One user asked, “What’s the mayonnaise incident, I’m so confused?”

“Is there a website that explains the incident, I need to know what happened,” asked another.

A third user suspected that it had something to do with the Subway restaurant incident. “Is there a website that explains the incident? I need to know what happened.”
