Mike Tindall was spotted wearing three different medals during the Queen’s funeral on September 19, 2022.

The first he received was the Member of the Order of the British Empire, also known as the MBE.

He is also the recipient of the Diamond Jubilee Medal for Queen Elizabeth II, which he received in 2012 and most recently received the Platinum Jubilee Medal for Queen Elizabeth II in 2022.

These two medals were awarded to any member of the Royal Family and to members of the Armed Forces who have served five years or more, rescue workers, those already bearing the Victoria and George Cross and operational members of the prison service.

What does Mike Tindall do for a living now?

After retiring from rugby union in 2014, he joined Minchinhampton RFC as both a player and manager.

He also co-hosts a weekly podcast called The Good, The Bad & The Rugby with compatriot James Haskell and broadcaster Alex Payne.

He also tends to make several celebrity appearances.

These include becoming the first royal ever to appear in a Domino’s pizza commercial.

Mike Tindall is married to Princess Anne’s only daughter Zara.

The two met at a bar in Sydney, Australia when Mike was there for the Rugby World Cup.

The relationship was confirmed by the Palace in April 2004 and six years later Mike finally dropped the question and their engagement was announced in December 2010.

The Queen gave them her blessing before a Privy Council in May 2011.

The couple tied the knot on July 30, 2011 in Edinburgh after a reception attended by over 400 guests.

He became part of the royal family and the couple moved to Gatcombe Park to start a family together.

They now have three children, two girls and one boy.

Their daughter Mia was born on January 17, 2014.

On June 18, 2018, Zara gave birth to their second daughter, Lena.

Lucas Philip was born on March 21, 2021 as the youngest member of the family.

Mike received his MBE with the 2003 New Year’s Eve award for services to rugby.

During his career he represented England 75 times and captained the team seven times.

In 2003 he became part of the successful England team that won the Rugby World Cup and Six Nations Championship that year.

Did Mike Tindall do military service?

No, Mike didn’t do military service.

Although some of his medals were awarded to those who held office for more than five years, he received them because of his membership in the royal family.
