When is Meta Quest 3 coming out? Release date, price and rumours explained
META just announced and revealed details of the upcoming next-gen VR headset, the Meta Quest 3
Known as the Oculus Quest before Facebook changed its company name, Meta Quest headsets are considered some of the best out there.

It’s one of the few wireless VR headsets and has one of the best screen resolutions for an immersive experience.
Here’s what we know about the next headset in the series, the Meta Quest 3.
Is Meta Quest 3 Coming Out?
Meta Quest 3 doesn’t have a firm release date yet, but we know it’s coming end of 2023.
Facebook boss Mark Zuckerberg also announced that a Meta Connect would take place on June 17, 2019 September 27th More details about the upcoming headset are yet to be announced.
Meta Quest 2 was released a month after pre-orders started. We therefore assume that Meta Quest 3 will be available in late October or early November.
This would also ensure it would be available to purchase for the holiday season.
How much does Meta Quest 3 cost?
The Meta Quest 2’s price has increased over its lifecycle, and the cheapest model is now £399 ($399).
However, following the announcement of the Meta Quest 3, a price reduction was announced for these headsets from June 4th.
In preparation for the next launch, that amount will drop to £299 ($299).
In contrast, the Meta Quest 3 will cost 128 GB $499 (£499) This makes it more expensive than the Meta Quest 2 at its top price.
What to expect from Meta Quest 3?
The Meta Quest 3 will have the highest resolution Meta yet.
Since the Quest 2 has a resolution of 1800 x 1920 pixels per eye, it is assumed that the Quest 3 will be increased to 2064 x 2208 per eye.
According to reports, it will also be the case with Quest 3 40% slimmer than its predecessor for a more comfortable headset.
Nothing else has been officially announced, but it appears that Meta Quest 3 will be a major upgrade of Meta Quest 2’s specs.
