Where was The Mother filmed? (shooting locations)

The mother with Jennifer Lopez is finally streaming on Netflix and is the action movie everyone should watch. Directed by Niki Caro, a film is about a talented assassin who is forced out of hiding when her daughter, whom she gave up at birth many years ago, is kidnapped by cold-blooded criminals from her past.

Jennifer Lopez plays the protagonist “The Mother” while aspiring actress Lucy Paez plays the role of Zoe, the mother’s daughter. Omari Hardwick, Joseph Fiennes, Gael García Bernal and Paul Raci also star in the film.

The film takes place in several locations, the two most important being Cuba and Alaska. But was the film actually shot in these locations? Here’s what we know.

The filming locations of the mother

Production began in October 2021 and ended in March 2022. Although The mother Since the film is primarily set in Alaska and Cuba, it was not shot in those locations. Instead, the main recordings took place mainly in Canada and Las Palmas de Gran Canaria in the Canary Islands.

Here are some of the locations where scenes were filmed in Vancouver DH News:

  • Victory Square – a park in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada
  • Easy Park Parkade in downtown Vancouver near Victory Square
  • Beatty Street in downtown Vancouver

Scenes were also filmed at the Sqéwqel Gas Bar, also known as the Seabird Island Gas Bar, in Fraser Valley, Smithers and Darrell Bay in Canada. The scene where the mother buys snacks at a gas station to give to Zoe before leaving with Cruise was filmed at the Seabird Island Gas Bar in Agassiz, British Columbia. The scene in which the mother drives away with Zoe on a motorcycle after rescuing her from Adrian and his men was filmed in the Fraser Valley of British Columbia, Canada. Last but not least were the Alaskan scenes filmed in Smithers, British Columbia.

The Cuba scenes were filmed on the Spanish island of Gran Canaria, more specifically in the city of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.
