We’ve rounded up the best March hotspots if you fancy getting away and soaking up some sun, and deals start from £255 per person including your flights.

Tenerife: 22.3 °C

You can expect glorious weather all year round, but if you’re not a fan of scorching summer temperatures, March is the ideal month to visit Tenerife.

In south Tenerife resorts like Playa de Las Americas and Los Gigantes, temperatures soar into the 20s in March, with a daily average of 22.3°C.

Depending on how close you are to the coast, temperatures can also feel much cooler due to the cool winds and light breezes, but there’s virtually no chance of rain.

Egypt: 23C

With maximum temperatures of 28°C, Egypt is a great choice for a March holiday.

The subtropical desert climate means there is little – if any – rain in March, so there’s no need to pack your coats.

Egypt is less than a five-hour flight from the UK, so you won’t have to spend too long on the plane to get sunny weather.

For a beach holiday you should go to Hurghada or Sharm El Sheikh.

  • TUI offers all-inclusive four-night stays in Egypt from £611 per person
  • Loveholidays offers all inclusive 7 night stays in Egypt from £453pp

Cape Verde: 25.7 °C

If you are looking for a tropical vacation, Cape Verde is the perfect place to fly to in March.

Average daily highs reach around 25.7°C, so you can spend your days sunbathing on a sun lounger or swimming in the clear waters.

Rainfall is exceptionally low in March, so you can expect seven hours of uninterrupted sunshine each day.

Barbados: 29.7°C

March falls in the high season for tourists in Barbados, so expect scorching weather.

Humidity is also fairly low at this time of year, and the winds provide cool breezes for sunbathers and keep the heat comfortable.

At a whopping 29.7°C this is the place to go if you’re looking for some boiling sunshine.

Lanzarote: 19th century

With temperatures reaching 19°C, Lanzarote is a great choice for those of you who want to soak up some sun but don’t like it too hot.

You can expect 12 hours of daylight in Lanzarote in March, with gloriously long sunny days compared to here in the UK.

If you can’t wait until next month to get some sun, we’ve rounded up the holiday hotspots to visit this month.

We’ve also revealed how to find the cheapest flights to the best holiday destinations, and there are return flights available from as little as £17.

For a stay instead we have found caravan breaks on bank holiday weekends from £8.25 per person per night.
