Sophie Mae
Sir David Jason is a father to two daughters – one of whom is Sophie Mae.
The actor became a father at the age of 61 when his then-girlfriend Gill Hinchcliffe gave birth to a baby girl.
Sophie Mae was born in Buckinghamshire in 2001.
The proud parents then married in 2005 – the same year Sir David was knighted for his services to comedy.
The couple met while Sir David was working on the ITV series A Touch Of Frost, where Gill was working as a production assistant.
The actor previously told dem Guardian: “I first saw Gill, a ground assistant at [a TV studio] in Leeds when she was sent to me in the studio car park.
In 2022, the Only Fools and Horses star made a rare appearance on the Cirque Du Soleil red carpet with daughter Sophie.
Abi Harris
In 2023, Sir David Jason revealed he was unaware he had another daughter for a whopping 52 years.
The TV legend also learned he had a 10-year-old grandson.

Abi Harris was born in 1970 after her mother, Jennifer Hill, had a brief relationship with the star.
The couple met while starring in Dylan Thomas’ Under Milk Wood at London’s May Fair Theater and a year later he starred in a film adaptation of the classic.
Jennifer was married to fellow actor Geoffrey Davion, who died in 1996, and Abi had always believed he was her father.
Incredibly, several decades later, in 2008, Sir David and his daughter Abi took the stage together in a production of the same play, unaware of who they were to each other.
Abi revealed how a friend in the audience pointed out that the two share similar profiles and the same nose shape.
Abi was shocked by the resemblance and many years later finally worked up the courage to ask Sir David for a paternity test – and then the truth came out.
Speaking of finding out Sir David was her father, she recounted The mirror: “As I discover my father’s identity, I begin to discover my own.
“Of course I’m snotty with joy and incredibly proud, but I’m also often overwhelmed by the sadness of the years we’ve lost.
“After a slow start, I hope we can now consciously take the time to see each other more so that I can master the art of being the best big sister and building a meaningful father-daughter relationship in the truest sense of the word .”
Sir David’s daughter and son Charlie have since spent time with the actor at his Ellesborough home, Bucks.
What did David Jason say about children?
Sir David Jason is notoriously reserved when it comes to his private life.
However, when news broke that Abi was his daughter, the actor opened up about the shocking discovery.
He said, “To say it came as a surprise when I found out I had a daughter years ago is an understatement.”
“But after reading the message, I am very happy that I can now meet Abi and that we can meet up whenever we can.”
“My wife Gill and daughter Sophie have been very supportive and understanding of Abi and have welcomed her and their young son to their now larger family.”
Sir David now hopes to continue the relationship and “get to know each other better and better”.
