How does Lisa-Karen die in Firefly Lane?
In Firefly Lane Season 2, Episode 13, teenage Kate’s budding relationship with Coop has to be put on hold due to her responsibilities while working with Lisa-Karen. Kate feels compelled to turn down a date with Coop to help her friend close the restaurant. Since Kate and Lisa-Karen only recently got back on their feet, Kate doesn’t want to take advantage of them.
Lisa-Karen overhears Coop asking Kate out on a “private” date, but she declines to clean the grease traps and take out the trash. However, Lisa-Karen tells Kate that she will fill in for her so she can enjoy a potentially transformative date. Coop makes Kate “smoke” during a thunderstorm, and that’s exactly what they do in his car.
Back at the restaurant, Lisa-Karen takes the trash to the dumpster outside. As she lifts the metal lid to throw in the garbage bag, a bolt of lightning flashes across the sky. It is later confirmed that Lisa-Karen was struck by lightning and died. Kate blames herself for her friend’s death, believing she would have been the only one killed if she hadn’t left work before closing time.
When does Kate die in Firefly Lane Season 2 Part 2?

Although the cancer appeared to be treated, it returns before her marriage to Johnny and they discover it has spread to her brain. She is unable to attend the trial treatment Danny put her in, and she dies peacefully in the series finale.
Kate dies after she and Tully share a peaceful moment on their patio overlooking the water. Tully tells her best friend about her recent romance with Danny and goes back inside to get more tea. While indoors, Kate takes note of her surroundings as she sneaks away. Her head sags from behind. Tully returns to Kate, but she knows immediately that she is gone.
