Who does Peggy Blow play in Freeridge?

But not all of the original cast members who returned reprized their roles on my block. Peggy Blow who played Abuelita/Marisol on my block, returned in a new role. Freeridge follows a group of friends as they work together to undo a curse they believe they accidentally freed from a mysterious box. Cam had bought the mysterious box at the Martinez flea market. He bought the box to give as a gift to Andre, hoping that he would break up with him. But then a mysterious lady shows up and offers to buy the box for a large sum of money. The Mysterious Lady is Peggy Blow’s character.

Who does Peggy Blow play in Freeridge?

Peggy plays the role of Mariluna. However, we don’t learn her character’s name until Episode 3. Prior to Episode 3, the Core Four (Gloria, Ines, Demi, and Cam) believed the mystery woman was Abuelita/Marisol’s spirit that came back to haunt her because she had taken box.

After Gloria rejects Mariluna’s offer to buy the box, Mariluna tells her that the box is cursed. This makes the Core Four believe they are cursed now that they are in possession of the crate. It doesn’t help that strange things are happening to them and their loved ones. This is what sends her on a mission to reverse the curse.

We learn a bit more about Mariluna in Episode 4 when Geny and Ruben Martinez, Gloria and Demi meet up with the Turners to get information about Mariluna. They contact Jamal through a device and he tells them that Abuelita/Marisol has a twin. Mariluna is the twin sister of Abuelita/Marisol.

But we don’t find out why Mariluna wanted the box until episode 7. After tracking Mariluna to her house, Gloria approaches her door but is stopped by Mariluna. Mariluna invites her over and they eventually start bonding.

Mariluna tells Gloria that when she was younger, she met a wealthy American named Henry Fordman. Their relationship was going well until he insisted that she be in disown about her family and heritage. Mariluna decides to do what Henry asks of her, but not before giving the box to Marisol. After many years, Mariluna begins to miss her sister very much. So on Henry’s 50th birthday, she sends Marisol a birthday invitation, but Marisol never shows up. The reason Mariluna wanted the box is because she and Marisol had it in common.

After talking about Marisol and the box, Mariluna and Gloria form a strong bond. Mariluna then invites Gloria, the rest of the four cores, and the Martinez family to her house for Thanksgiving dinner.

In summary, Mariluna is the twin sister of Abuelita/Marisol. They grew up close to each other and shared a box that they would put things in. However, Mariluna distanced herself from her family after she started dating a man named Henry Fordman. But she made sure to leave the box with Marisol before leaving with Henry. After all, her reason for coming to Freeridge to get the box back was because she missed her sister.
