Who is Rosie Jones?

Born in Yorkshire on June 24, 1990, Rosie Jones is a comedian, writer and actress.

She is best known for her work on comedy panel shows and her stand-up tours.

Rosie has had an impressive comedy career and is a frequent performer at the Edinburgh Fringe.

She is also the author of a children’s book, The Amazing Edie Eckhart, about an 11-year-old girl with cerebral palsy.

Does Rosie Jones have a disability?

Rosie was born with cerebral palsy, which she often talks about in her comedy performances.

She was very open about the rights of disabled people and described bullying she had experienced and difficulties in her daily life.

Rosie previously expressed her concerns about the particular vulnerability of disabled people during the Covid pandemic and the way the emphasis on the impact of the virus on those with pre-existing conditions has led to disabled people being coded as “second-class citizens”.

During an interview with The guardJones commented, “I’d love to be there next It will be a few years before we see more disabled comedians, directors, producers and commissioners.

“I hope that disabled people can see me on TV and think: If they can do it, I can do it.”

Is Rosie Jones married and does she have children?

As of July 2023, Rosie is single and has no children but has already spoken out about being gay.

On the BBC Sounds podcast Duvet DaysShe said, “Growing up, there wasn’t anyone on TV or on the radio who looked like me — who sounded like me.”

“There was Francesca Martinez in Grange Hill, but that was really the only person.

“And my sexuality also came into play because when there was a disabled person, she was very much the victim and she didn’t have sexuality, she was more like the normal disabled person.”

“It meant that as an adult I didn’t accept my sexuality because I thought I wasn’t gay and I wasn’t disabled.”

She has appeared on TV shows such as The Last Leg, 8 Out of 10 Cats, 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown, QI and Hypothetical.
