There aren’t many R-rated animated films out there, but it can be a nice and welcome change when we release a project like this! While sausage party was released in 2016 and will be brought to a wider audience thanks to its release on Netflix on Wednesday 23 August 2023. Who plays the main role in the film?

The story takes us to a supermarket called Shopwell that offers anthropomorphic grocery items. Some like Frank the sausage, Brenda the hot dog bun, and Teresa del Taco can’t wait to set out on a journey into the “Great Afterlife” — that is, what they believe is a utopia, the they go when human buyers buy them.

Frank dreams of making it there, but all of their worlds “collapse” when, according to the synopsis, this sausage is destined to be eaten. The group then forges an escape plan. Will they be successful?
