Who is Mena Massoud?
Mena Massoud is a Canadian actress who was born on September 17, 1991 in Cairo, Egypt.
He moved with his family to Markham, Ontario, where he grew up and attended St. Brother André Catholic High School.
Mena’s big break came when he was cast in the title role in the 2019 live-action remake of Aladdin.
He previously starred in Open Heart (2015) and Saving Hope (2017).
The actor also appeared in the Amazon series Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan, which ran from 2018 to 2022.
On May 13, 2023, TMZ reported that Mena faced backlash after tweeting about the upcoming live-action film The Little Mermaid, slated to hit theaters on May 26, 2023.
According to the medium, the actor wrote, “Our film was unique in that the audience saw it multiple times. Only in this way did we reach the billion dollar mark with our opening.”
“My guess is that TLM won’t break the billion mark, but will undoubtedly get a sequel.”
It appears that Mena deleted his Twitter account after receiving criticism for his remark, particularly from fans of the movie star Halle Bailey.
