Annabel Croft is a former British tennis player and now works as a radio and television presenter.
Her latest challenge is to take on the Strictly Come Dancing ballroom while letting them down tennis racquets for their dancing shoes.
She was born in 1966 in Farnborough, Hampshire.
She became a professional tennis player in 1984 and was number 24 in the world before surprisingly retiring in 1986 at the age of just 21.
Croft won both the Wimbledon and Australian Open girls tournaments in 1984 and just a year later she won her only singles title – the Virginia Slims of San Diego tournament.

Married to Annabel since 1992, Mel Coleman was a professional yachtsman and investment banker.
He took part in the America’s Cup and most recently ran a tennis school with his wife.
After the Corona lockdowns, the two converted an old van into a mobile home and drove together on a hiking holiday through the country and to Europe.
The couple have three adult children, Charlie, Amber and Lily.
When did Annabel Croft’s husband Mel Coleman die?
Mel passed away in May 2023, just eight weeks after complaining of stomach pains and being diagnosed with stage three cancer.
He was just 60 years old when he died.
Annabel issued a statement marking his death, saying: “My beloved husband Mel passed away peacefully on Wednesday morning after a brief battle with cancer.”
“My family and I are completely heartbroken and request privacy at this very sad time.”
A friend told it Daily mail at the time: “It was a huge shock to everyone – the diagnosis came out of the blue and Mel didn’t seem unwell at the time.”
“Unfortunately, the cancer has made brutal progress… Everyone is devastated and horrified and Annabel is completely devastated.”
